EXIF data not being saved

For some reason my CS2 has stopped saving EXIF data when I do Save As to save a file as JPEG. I am NOT using Save for Web option.

This used to act correctly, and save my data. I cannot find a changed setting.

Any ideas where to look?

Is this on images you have edited, perhaps having added layers and later flattening? I don’t recall for certain, but believe there are certain editing operations that will result in a loss of the EXIF data.

I ran a test and opened a RAW photo file, did NO editing, just a "Save as" to JPEG and still no EXIF.

Are you sure you’re not doing a Save for Web?

That does strip out the metadata.
