Path Editing Problem

I have a path in a Photohop document. I need to edit the path. I select with the white arrow one point on the path and hit delete. The entire path deletes, not just the one point or segment I selected. Any idea why this is?

Well, if figured it out. No, I haven’t "figured it out." I’ve discovered what was making it happen. I had 2 layers in the layer pallet selected. Once I selected only one layer in the layer pallet, I was able to delete points normally.

Wierd.
