"Clean any gutters and set to consistent width in the region of 2mm". This is an extract from an artwork specification supplied by my client. What should be done to be in tune with this spec. What process should I follow.

Geez.

Who the he** knows?

Ask the guy that penned this apparently nebulous direction.

….but if I had to guess (and it would only be a guess) I would say he/she is talking about safety margins and keeping vital information at least 2mm from the trimmed edge.

Or to gaps between images in your page-layout program?
Or to printers’ marks being outside the bleed?

[My gutters are 40 feet up and they badly need cleaning — want to volunteer?]
