Trying to follow Bruce Dale’s workflow at www.creativepro.com/story/feature/20357.html but I am stuck on the first step of Implementation & Techniques: Capture Sharpening. The blue channel had all the contrast so I ran the Find Edges filter and it worked. But when I went to invert the result for the mask, inverse was greyed out so this is not possible.

Inverse is on the Select menu, and it selects the opposite of what is currently selected. Since you had no selection, it isn’t currently available.

Invert, which is what you wanted, is on the Image>Adjust menu…
