Our department has recently run across this problem three seperate times. After creating a new document (300DPI) and editing, etc., when we go to send the file to our printer, the file has mysteriously been changed to a much lower DPI (usually 150 or 72). Often times, when this occurs, the overall size of the document also changes. (i.e. if we start out with a 5×7 document at 300 dpi; in the end, the document may suddenly be a 20×30 document at 150 dpi).
Has anyone else had this problem? More importantly, does anyone know how to prevent it from happening?
There are times when the file may be shared (open seperately, of course) and edited by multiple users, but all our preset standards are always 300 dpi – therefore it couldn’t be a shared-user issue – should it?
