Unable to open gif on photoshop

I have photoshop 7.0 and CS on my mac OS x, and I can’t open gif’s and also I can’t save for web. This is extremely frustrating. Help please.

First update to 7.0.1.

For the Save for Web problem try trashing the SFW Preferences.

How are you trying to open gifs? Can you set it in Get Info?

Hey Ed, I too have Photoshop 7 and CS on my mac using panther 10.3.3. I find that I can’t open images of any format from double clicking the image file, i first have to open photoshop and then open the image file from photoshop. but what is odd, is that double clicking on the image file will start photoshop if it isn’t active, weird huh? I know it isn’t a fix, but you might try having photoshop already open and open the gif file from there
