Any ideas on what I can do.

Do you have TIFF.8bi in your ‘file formats’ folder?

The number of ‘dpi’ is irrelevant. The important number is how many pixels in the picture.

The dpi is useful when placing photos in a page layout program. An 800×600 photo at 200dpi will print as 4" x 3", the same photo at 72dpi would print as 11.11" x 8.33" UNLESS YOU TELL IT OTHERWISE. It’s the same picture, the same detail.

Actually, it’s "ppi" or "pixels per inch", not "dots per inch" until you’re on a printer.

How did you download them? I am guessing it’s a hardware.cable/flash card problem. What are the sizes on disk? Can you download them again? Do you get an error message?

What model camera do you use?

Mac or PC?

You might try posting to the appropriate forum on DP Review. It has forums dedicated for most any brand of camera.

I used a Fuji S1 Pro DSLR and PS read my .tif files okay.
