Select 1 pixel objects in B/W mode?

How can I select all the 1-pixel objects i a B/W image? Basically I’m trying to delete these scanning artifacts for text document.

On your Photoshop install CD, there should be a folder named "Goodies" or similar. Within there, there will be a plug-in called "Filter Factory". With that, you can set the value of all "lonely" pixels to white/whatever you need (by checking the values of all adjacent pixels).

Caveats:

1) You might need to set the image to RGB mode to run a filter.
2) I don’t know how it will behave at the edges.

Hopefully that gives you a pointer to your desired result.

Thank you for the suggestion. I’m not sure if this would work. If I can select the lonely pixels, I would just delete them wihtout using a filter to change them to white. I’m trying to select these lonely pixels.

Did I miss anything?
