OK, it’s not red eye, but green eye.
I took a digital pic of my dog and her eyes show green,
when they are brown. In trying to use the color replacement tool, no matter which color I try, I can’t get the eyes brown. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

You are looking at the dog’s third eyelid, used to aid the dog in night vision, but it is highly reflective. Use the brush tool with a soft edge, set the color to black and the opacity to 20%. Use the selection wizard to select the green, reflective part of the eye. Paint layers over the eye until it looks natural. The green part of the eye is always black in cats and dogs (also most other nocturnal mammals). The brown part is really just a thin ring of color around it. As you paint over the eye the brown will gradually fill in towards the center and the glow will disappear entirely.

If you really want to see the dog’s eyes without any change you will have do it without flash.

Make a feathered selection (0.2 to .07 pixels) using the Elliptical Marquee and then use the Channel Mixer (Image > Adjust > Channel <Mixer). In the Red Output Channel slide the green to the right until satisfied. Play with the other channels and see what they do.
