When I use Quick Mask for masking an area that I want to copy and paste, then go to standard edit mode, I see the marching ants, so far so good, except when I paste the Image into another image it’s looks too be about 25% transparent. If I use lasso tool too do same thing, no problem, no
transparency..

What’s happening? I’ve reloaded the program twice now,
problem still exists.

Is there a setting I’m not using correctly, it used too work OK.

Thank you

Make sure the foreground colour is set to black or white while in Quick Mask. Any other colour will give the result you describe.

And make sure the brush you are using is set to 100% opacity.

You are not painting in the Quick Mask in white. You are painting 75% white, either because your foreground is not white or because of a setting on your tool.

In the QuickMask, black means not selected, white means selected, and any shade of gray means partly selected. If you are copying an image and then pasting it and the pasted image is transparent, you are not completely selecting the part you wish to copy.
