I have seen this error message now several times when an image from my Minolta DiMage X digital camera is somehow damaged:
"Could not open (name of file) because a SOFn, DQT, or DHT JPEG marker is missing before a JPEG SOS marker"
The files show in Photoshop Elements’ File Browser as a JPEG icon with its correct file name, but are not converted into thumbnails as are the other pictures that are not damaged. GraphicConverter cannot open them either.
Any suggestions on how to fix these files? With a text editor, or whatever…
