A professional photographer I met in Africa (he’s using a Canon digital) gave me a disk with some RAW files. I had intended to use them as demonstration material for a unit on RAW in a Photoshop course I’ll be teaching in the Fall. The files have a .CR2 extension. Photoshop says it can’t open them saying they are not "the right kind of document" I’ve downloaded and installed (by coping to the Plugins/FileFormat folder) the latest version of the RAW plugin. But with no success–perhaps I’m not clear on what to do as this is my first attempt at RAW files.
