I am doing a duotone Ad made out of black and magenta, is it possible to have the logo made out in spot as pure 100 % magenta? What’s the best way to save the file in for press output?

Thanks

Fadi,

You can just create content directly in the Magenta and Black channels and just save as CMYK TIFF, provided the magenta will be printed with the magenta process ink and not a spot ink

Alternatively you will need to create the file as CMYK and then add a spot colour channel for the magenta content, and create the black content in the k channel only.

Save as DCS-2 EPS, multiple file with colour composite, 8-bit TIFF preview and ASCII encoding
