I trained on both, preferred Freehand but switched to Illustrator after Macromedia would’t do a cross platform upgrade. Adobe sucks but not as bad as Macromedia. Adobe won’t provide
replacement disks except for the current version (as I mentioned under a different handle from a different computer) I think Illy will always be more popular although I find some thing more difficult to do but that may be because I was more familiar with FH. It’s a toss up I guess. Good luck though.
