I’ve installed Photoshop 7 and am trying to use Adobe Gamma, in Wizard mode, to calibrate my monitor but the dialog windows aren’t big enough to show the complete content of the dialogs. Text and images seem to be cut off at the right and at the bottom. I’m running a Matrox Parhelia video card at 1200 x 1600 using normal (96 dpi) font size. Changing to different resolutions doesn’t help. Any ideas?

Have you tried to install the latest Windows certified drivers (go to < http://www.matrox.com/mga/support/drivers/certified/home.cfm> )? I have, and have no issues at all.

Cheers

make sure you’re in "true color" mode (24 or 32 bit)

Thanks for the suggestions Dave. The display is in 32-bit mode.

Try disabling the video acceleration – and contact Matrox about the problem so they can fix it.

Thanks for the suggestion Chris. Turning accelation off doesn’t fix the problem. I’m not sure it’s a Matrox problem at this point so will do a little more research before reporting it to them.

wasn’t there something about going to 256 color then back to get this working again? brain synopsis firing, but producing nothing but smoke!

brain synopsis firing …

Better to use synapses for the process, but by all means give us a synopsis of the results 🙂
