Can anyone help here. I am still on photoshop 5 but will be upgrading. I am trying to convert a JPG to GIF. I beleve a GIF has to be 256 colours. so.
I have Converted JPG to 256 Colours
Saved as GIF
Copied entire image using the Marque into a new Transparancy file Cut out the transparancy sections leaving the Chequer board background
Problem I can only save as PSD.. I have Ticked the box (preserve transparency)
If I flatten the image I loose the transparency tick box and Chequer board background.
Where am I going wrong.
Desmond.
