busting my brains out but my guess is it can’t be done in photoshop. But how is it done ? Anybody got an idea ???

It seems to me like they used a selection of the face for defining a kind of brush while painting with the outher pixels of the selection. WEIRD…. to me 😉

Just use the smudge tool.
– Create a new brush (perhaps based on the settings as seen in the screenshot, but adjust the size to that of your subject)(hardness of the brush should be a bit high).
– Make sure you use 100% brush pressure, otherwise your subject will fade over distance.

Select face, hold down Ctrl-Alt and drag in very small increments or use arrow keys. Smooth out with Smudge tool afterward.

The tongue I mean.

Just a regular strawberry thats been distorted to the required shape If you look at the bottom left of the strawberry you can see quite clearly where it has been stretched, look at the seeds theye elongated

Distorted likely using the "liquify" effect (just figured I’d add that as it was probably going to be Dave’s next question 😉
