OK, I’m confused. If I assign a different profile to an RGB image, the numbers are unchanged but the way the image is displayed is altered. So far so good.
Now, when I do the same with a grayscale image I get the opposite result: the numbers are changed and the display remains the same. That doesn’t make sense to me.
I’m using CS2 on Windows.
