just a quick question on selling large-format output on the internet (both posters & digital) … do any of you Pshop users know of decent software that could help to optimize, organize & display thumbnail galleries & photo samples, as well as have e-commerce capability built in?

i know that’s a mouthful, but there’s a huge number of photographers and stock image houses who port their goods on the net; wondering if there were software developers who were developing for this niche market?

thanks for any hints; apologies if this is inappropriate for this NG; if so any recommended NG’s that might help?

regards,
roni

This is not a commercial offering and I am not promoting my business. I give the information for example only as to what you *can* do in the way of selling your work on-line. Have a look at my example.

It’s all on a Linux server and the software is free but you might end up paying a professional to install it and have some peace of mind about security.

The cart is at:

If you really want to go ahead with your plan, email me and I’ll put you in touch with the sources. The whole thing can run on a 1000 MHz PC with 256 MB of RAM on cable or broadband. Mine runs on the Australian Bigpond cable.

Have a look at the offering here for a neat server (My business too!) http://www.technoaussie.com/healthypcs under firewalls. These boxes are installed in a lot of Australian businesses who also run an e-commerce site and photo gallery.
