I used an existing working-space profile and modified the gamma then saved it in Photoshop CS under Windows 2000 Pro. Unlike PS6, CS saves profiles as ICC, not ICM. The problem is that the profile then shows up as CustomRGB (and is inserted into my images by that name too). when I drop the list down to select the new profile by name, it does not appear. So, I did a load profile, which once again shows up as CustomRGB.

I then opened PS6, recreated the profile (as an ICM this time), then switch back to CS. Sure enough, the profile is now there and shows up correctly in my images under the name I gave it.

Why did they have to change something that was working to begin with?
