I just ordered Photoshop CS (upgrade from Elements).
I’ll need to upgrade my system to Windows XP.
I thought I’d settled that XP Pro doesn’t give me anything worth a hundred bucks over XP for my setup (vanilla single user, single puter, non-networked, dialup), asking on the Microsoft forums to verify.
BUT … in dejanewsing any CS issues with AMD processors, I did run across a lone post that offhandedly commented that CS works much better/faster with XP Pro compared to plain XP, without any specifics.
My system, if it matters: 1 GHz AMD, 640 MB, 60 + 160 GB.
