Alt-zooming opens the menu

When ALT+mousewheel is used to zoom, the ALT press is also interpreted to open the menu, so when I stop zooming, I have to press escape again to get out of the menu. Does anyone else see this? It’s a bit of a pain. Usually, when ALT is used as a modifier for something else, it also cancels it triggering the menu.

You don’t mention what version of PS you are talking about but assuming it is a recent one, why not configure preferences to zoom with the scrollwheel by itself?

I don’t want to have to relearn strongly established usage habits to work around a bug.

It’s likely not a bug, merely a changed behavior.

Just reconfigure your prefs to your liking, and get used to it. Shouldn’t take long, and it’s something everyone here has had to deal with.

It can be aggravating, sure, but whining doesn’t help.
