Hi all.

This is probably been asked a 100 times. I’m
looking for a tutorial for a way to paint
graffiti on a brick wall so that the texture
of the wall shows through.

make a new layer above the bricks
Take a pencil and color a few spots
then use the mode: "overlay" in the layers-palette (experiment with other modes availabe: screen, lighten, luminisity,…) You can play with the opacity to make the color more real,

Try using displacement maps.
Here’s a good tutorial, not for graffiti specifically, but you’ll get the idea.-

Here is the tutorial that your looking for. I know it works. But I tried it yet. Just haven’t gotten around to it. Have fun and you should find more fun tutorials.
