Problems Downloading/Using PS CS3 Trial

Hi I’m not sure if anyone can help but I want to convert from PSE5 up to Photshop CS3.

I’ve downloaded the trial version, this seems to have been ok, I’ve extracted the files to a desktop Adobe CS3 folder but when I try and open the program nothing (literally) happens! No error messages, start up screen or anything.

My HDD light is active for 30 seconds or so but the end product is zero.

I’m sure my laptop is up to it in terms of system req’s etc.

Can anyone help?

First you extract the files, then you run the installer.

Hi Bob,
If the installer is called setup.exe then I am clicking on this, I get a brief installing message then absolutely nothing.

download the ms installer, install that, then try again…

What is this going to do for me?

I am also using Vista Home Premium whereas this seems to be XP?

not sure if there’s an issue with the vista installer, but there is one w/xp. maybe you could poke around the ms site to see if there’s an updated vista installer.
