Pen/Paint Brush Tool is Transluscent

I made a new document on Adobe Photoshop today, and I picked a color, and used to paintbrush tool. It came out very translucent and I had to go over it about 5 times before it looked opaque…And I never changed any of the settings, I left it the same since I bought it. Does anyone know how I can fix this so I can draw on here without having to go over my lines a million times? Thanks.

When you look at the opacity and flow boxes of the brush in the title bar, what are the settings?

They’re at 100% This is strange…

Reset the tool. That might help.
