Hi guys,

I`m working with photoshop not that much. I wonder if anyone could explain how i save images with transparent background. I read anywhere i have to save as .png but it doesnt work here. What is it i do wrong? Thanks, Lilo

Lilo,

How are you trying to do it?
If you only have one layer, the background layer, you need to unlock this layer by renaming it before it will allow transparency.
A quick way is to alt+double click on "background layer" name in the layers palette.
This will rename it to layer 0.
Then it should just be a question of removing the parts you want to remove (you should see the chequer board pattern indicating transparency) and then save as a PNG file.
