Having problem with pen tool

As soon as I add my third anchor point, it starts automatically filling in the color…..which I don’t want. It also makes me unable to puch or pull any of the anchor points.

Any suggestions? I’m using CS3 Extended

check the options bar and make sure you have path selected not custom shape.

In the Options bar, click "Paths" (the 3rd) button
