colour lighten???

Hi

I need to change the brown colour of the chair in thegraphic to a lighter colour ie a light blue so that I can use it as a background for other colours. I do need to retain the look of the folds of cloth etc.

I’m sure there is a way but can’t work it out can anyone assist

There are many colour correction tools available in Photoshop (Hue/Saturation is probably the one I’d use in this case) To onnly affect one area of your image you need to do a selection.

Try Select>Colour_Range to make the initial selection.
