Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error when scrolling for fonts

I am getting a Runtime Error when I key or scroll through my fonts viewing them with realtime updating. Then PS crashes.

Error is:

Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Adobe\AdobePhotshop CS2\Photoshop.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.

This seams to have just started.
It doesn’t happen on any certain font or at any particular moment. It is happening on my desktop and laptop now.
My partners version is not doing as of yet.
I am wondering if this was part of an update gone bad.

Can anybody help?

Probably a bad font, assuming that you have the same font on both systems. See my response to your other message.

Linotype just released Font Explorer X for Windows!!!
It is so good, I uninstalled ATM!!!

AND IT"S FREEEEEE!

Thanks for the heads-up. I’m about to download it from <http://www.linotype.com/2006/tools.html> . Hopefully it’s better than Font Reserve, which hasn’t been updated since Extensis bought it from Diamondsoft many years ago. The Windows version is a beta, however — and they warn against using it in Vista, which isn’t a problem for me because I’m not an idiot who drank the Kool-aid.
