LZW compressed TIFF format

Would there be any loss of quality at all if one was to convert non compressed TIFFs to LZW compressed TIFFs.

But the downside is that fewer apps support the LZW compression of TIF images, than support the full TIFF images. I don’t think Explorer thumbnails support the LZW images, either. Small irritations that you might be able to live with. No quality issues , however.

Thanks Brent. The updated thumbs are showing in Explorer and all browsers. All of the apps I use do support LZW compression so it seems like a win win situation here.
