Can someone explain or point to tutorial on how to blend photo with solid color background like here, where the picture is blended in with the blue: <http://www.molecular.com/>

* Click the "Create new fill or adjustment layer" button in the layers palette. * Choose "Solid Colour" from the fly-out menu and select the required shade. * With the Gradient tool, fill the layer mask with a black to white gradient.
