arbtrary rotate canvas

I did a scan and cannot do a 1 or two degree rotate .the arbtrary is greyed out. Works fine with a jpeg. Also cannnot convert the scan to jpeg. it is line art.

Doh! You’re right. Must be in Bitmap (one bit).

I was thinking 16, but that is obviously wrong.

The Image is in bitmap. I don’t know how to convert to greyscale. Nothing in help under greyscale. Even the crop and straigten photo command is greyed out. I have tried making the canvas bigger. Still only rotate option is 180 or 90.

Image menu > Mode > Grayscale.

I think he means the size ratio.

I’d leave it at 1.

….and after you do your rotation, choose Image>Mode>Bitmap>50% threshhold, leaving the resolution as it was.

there’s no point in using 8 bits per pixel, when 1 will do.
