I have this graphic on the top of the page… I hope I can describe this. What I want to do is add a little bit of grid lines inside the green border…. 2 lines left to right and 2 lines top to bottom, equal spaced from the green border. If I were on a drawing board I could measure in 1/4 inch and draw my line with a straight edge… I know how to draw the lines by holding down shift to keep it straight, but what I can’t figure is how to measure where to put it… if I apply the grid that helps but the problem is the grid is large and doesn’t start and stop in the same place on all four sides of the rectangle… if this is confusing.. sorry. I just don’t know how to describe this.. okay I enclosed a jpg showing a similar idea with the small black lines going around the perimeter and filling in the corner with a color… basically that’s what I’m trying to do.. So really it’s just the placement of these lines… thanks J

Control + R to display the rulers, double click on the one of them to change the units to cms, inches, pixels, percent, etc.,
Drag a couple of guides out and use the zoom tool (Z) to enlarge to image to allow fine positioning of same.
