Hello,
I have a website (www.furnituremaker.com) and want to use a dithered color for my backround and my extracted (removed background) images.

I am having problems extracting objects and putting the dithered color as the background.
In Photoshop (CS 8.0) I usualy extract an object by selecting the background ( my backround color in the tool panel is set to the color I want) and then hitting delete.
My problem is that I can not get the dithered color set in the background of the tool panel ( there are 3 colors in the dithered color – it wants to pick only one of them )

thanks!

I don’t quite know what you are saying but since no one responded; select the empty space with the magic wand tool.
Then, eyedropper tool to select your so called "dithered color". Then alt-backspace to throw the new color in.
