Greetings,

I have a PSD that is about 50 layers deep. I would like to automate the process of saving each layer off as a separate file numbered sequetually. I suppose this type of thing is done all the time when editing video but I have not tried it or know how to do this.

Any clues?

What version are you using? I ask because I believe it is built in in CS. For PS 7 there is a script on the Adobe Exchange for this, and for earlier versions there’s LayerSplitter:
