How do I keep Layers Panel / Layer Styles panel etc in view on the work space?

Fran, with your mouse, click on the Layers tab and just drag it out of the palette well then pull it down to where you want it and release the mouse button. Repeat for Layer styles. You can actually drag and drop the layer styles palette on top of the layers palette and have the two of them as a set if you want. If you want to leave the palettes on the workspace for the next time, just leave them where they are when you exit Elements and they’ll be there when you next open it.
