Hi all,
Not 100% if I am in the right group or not but hopefully someone can help.
This is probably a very very easy thing to do for someone experienced with different photoshop etc.
Basically I have a old newspaper cutting from 1968. I need to get the photograph of the football team from the top of the page. When I scan in the paper it comes to relativity good quality. However the photo is not a standard photo size.
I want to resize it to 7×5 but if I try crop it I lose out on a good bit of the picture. What I did was make a plain gray background sheet (that was 7×5) in word and then copied the image onto it so as to make it the standard size, and the leftover parts were just background. However I was not able to save this as a .jpg. I have MS Paint, Adobe Photoshop Elements and a trial version of Coral PSP.
Hope this makes sense.
All help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Niall.
