Hi! I can’t even say how long I’ve been using Adobe products, but I finally ran into a problem I have no idea how it got started or how I should fix it.
Last night, after finishing some last minute touches on a project I’m working on, I saved my files, quit Photoshop, shut down my computer and went to bed. This afternoon, I went to open up Photoshop, but every time it begins to load the plug-ins, the program stops responding. After retrying what seems like fifty times, I can tell you that it’s not a specific plug-in that’s causing the problem, as Photoshop will stop responding on any given plug-in.
After fooling around with my problem, I found I can successfully start Photoshop if I remove the entire plug-in folder from the adobe directory completely. This does not sit well with me because I rely on the plug-ins pretty heavily.
Any ideas on how or if I can fix my problem? I haven’t installed anything new or changed any of my computer’s preferences…so, I have no idea why the program would just stop working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Kris
