I just moved Adobe Photoshop Elements to a new computer and now every time I open it I get the Hints and Layers Pallet. How do I get rid of these to keep them from popping up every time I open? Thanks.

Carl, if you close each of them before you shut down Elements, they shouldn’t reappear when you restart Elements.

Chuck: I’ve tried that, but the rascals come back every time I start Elements. Any other suggestions? Thanks

Carl, in Edit>Preferences>General-Options – do you have a check mark in the box marked Save Palette Locations? I do, and the palettes that I want to stay out on the desktop stay there, and the ones that I close stay closed. You might just look at that – still thinking of other possibilities…

Carl, have you tried "Reset Palettes" and then made sure you’ve got Close to Palette Well checked?
