I upgraded to Photoshop CS several months ago, using my Photoshop 6 disk to do the upgrade.

One can only install CS on no more than two PC’s. Our family has four PC’s and therefore, I would like to install CS on the other two. With this in mind, can I purchase a second copy of the PS CS Upgrade and again use my PS 6 disk for this second upgrade?

Thank you,

Legally, no.

And practically no as well. Adobe will know you have already upgraded PS 6 once, and will not allow a second upgrade.

BTW, once you have started using CS, you are no longer (legally) allowed to use PS6 on the other machines either.

Actually, they won’t know. But that’s beside the point. As far as using 6, you are allowed to continue using an earlier version while you transition to the new version. I for one am still transitioning from 7.

You would be allowed (legally) to use PS 6 it on the same machines as CS, but not on the others. And does activation not prevent duplicate serial numbers from being used for registering?
