I’m looking for a way to apply effects to text on photoshop like this:

http://www.invano.com/tutorials/photoshop/leather.php

In the example above you follow a series of steps, but I want to know if it’ s possible to apply predefined effects on the fly, with photoshop, with a third party photoshop plugin or even with a different program.

Thank you in advance.

MacBook Pro 16” Mockups 🔥

– in 4 materials (clay versions included)

– 12 scenes

– 48 MacBook Pro 16″ mockups

– 6000 x 4500 px

Text effects can be pre-defined as ‘actions’. The is a pre-determined set of effects that can be applied repeatedly.

Take a look at http://share.studio.adobe.com/axBrowseProductType.asp?t=5

You may be able to download an action or it will teach you how to make an action yourself.

FWIW, I’ve done some very useful Text Effects using the Word Art applet that comes with (almost all of) Microsoft’s Office products like Word and PowerPoint.

for pre-defined layer styles use the styles palette, you can download extras from Adobe Exchange
or create your own from scratch with the layer effects (f)(bevel, emboss, drop shadow, color overlay etc)
warping the text would have to be done as a separate step if you need to save the effects, as advised, use a recorded action or drag the text layer to another layer or document and just edit the letters they will keep the same style.
