It’s time to purchase a 19-21inch screen – but I haven’t the vaguest idea what to look for. I have the ColorVision Spyder, and would like a screen that is ACCURATE and EASY to calibrate (using a PC). Am open to other methods of calibration, as long as I can get to what I see in Photoshop is what I get from my Epson 2200. Would love some suggestions.

A prime example is the ViewSonic brand which normally do not have any kind of Triniton tube but can be magnificent in picture quality.

That in itself is no guarantee of quality. Trinitrons, like most other electronic componentry, come in different quality grades which are ordered by the different manufacturers according to their specifications.
