Hi guys.

I have two images of the same size and resolution. What I want to do is copy a layer from one to exactly the same position on the other, but I can’t figure how. If I copy and paste, the layer centres itself, and dragging’s no good either.
I’m using Photoshop CS.

Can someone help please?

Phil.

Hi Phil,

Try dragging the layer to the new image while holding down the shift key.

Hope this helps.

Hi Phil,
Select the part of the layer which you want to copy, go to "select" and select "inverse", then go to "edit" and select "clear". Now deselect, and then select the whole layer, copy and paste onto the second layer.
