When I try to view the font I have used in the Character’s pallet, often PShop tells me it is a different font and font size. Is this a bug and is there a patch to fix it?

You have to highlight the text to get the correct readings and set the font/size, etc.

make sure you have selected the text first before you try to edit it click on the little T icon in the layer you need to edit or swipe it with the mouse

Sorry but that does not help.

It is remembering the last font used and all of the formatting and is a real pain!

make sure you have selected the text first before you try to edit it click on the little T icon in the layer you need to edit or swipe it with the mouse

well it does and it should default to the last setting used, it is supposed to
2 of us have given you the same answer
It is not a bug and needs no patch
do you have the fonts you are using installed?? if you don’t an error message will appear when you open the file asking about updating the fonts. otherwise it is something you are (not) doing

Try resetting (trashing) preferences.
