When looking at thumbnails in Bridge I am noticing a little lock icon in the bottom right hand corner which is telling me the file is in "read only" status.
Is there a way to toggle "read only" status in Bridge? I searched all over and can not find the answer.
I am using Bridge 1.0.2

Not sure if it is directly available in Bridge, but would guess that this indicates a file that has been copied from, say a CD, in a PC environment. I’ll poke around Bridge, but you can easily change attributes in Windows Explorer. If you set the View there to include Attributes, you can easily see what needs to be "unlocked." I’ll bet that Bridge offers similar.

Unless I missed something, if you right-click (PC) on the file, and choose Reveal in Explorer, you can then choose Properties, and un-check Read Only. OK, it’s a bit more work, but you do get to stay in Bridge, though work through Win Explorer. Maybe someone has a more direct, non-Explorer way to do it.

I know the explorer thing, but it just seems that this would be a very simple task in Bridge. Too many steps to go into explorer, but if I have to I will.
