In PS 7 is there a way to cleanup a schemantic drawing? In other words, get rid of the lite grey background that shows up from scaning an old yellowed drawing. sothat I have a black and white drawing.

Thanks

unplugged /colors/split contrast

freeware plugin, can make darks darker without effecting general contrast. Then bring down saturation to make black and white(under hue saturation)to reduce yellows.

I find this works better then just upping contrast as this can blur detail. Hope this helps.
