I’m sorry, but as a fairly new user of Elements 2, I have tried and tried to get my head around the first step of using Layers.
What I cannot manage is this: After I open the first photo as the background (Layer 0), I naturally want to add another photo as Layer 1. Making the new layer is simple enough, but how do I get the second photo onto Layer 1?
If I follow the precise instructions in either the Help files or a magazine tutorial everything fails.
The magazine tells me to align the first photo on the screen so that when I open the second, I can see both side by side. But when I open the second photo, the first disappears!!!!!!!!!
Is it me? Am I entirely stupid?
I have used most of the other photo edit features without any problem. Any advice appreciated.
Thanks, Chrissssss………
