I have a multi layered TIFF image which I’d like to flatten to reduce file size. Some layers have reduced opacity whicle others use color blend rather than normal. When I flatten the image, it changes quite noticeably. Merge down, either of all layers or one by one has the same effect. Saving as a JPEG likewise. Is there some way to avoid this? I’ve also tried the old trick of creating a new layer and then using alt+cntl+shift+e but that doesn’t paste into the new layer as it used to do. I’m using CS3. Help please
