Is anyone using or have you used tablets apart from Wacom, and is wacom the best for Photoshop type work or is there something else out there that does just a good a job?

I use a Wacom and it is fantastic. Once you get use to it (about a day) you will wonder how you ever did anything without it.

No. Build quality is terrible in all the other makes. Wacom is the only make worth having.

I once did PhotoShop plugin that used the parallel port to run an Etch-A-Sketch.

USB port??? It’s got its own built-in monitor. Who needs USB?
