For years now I have made a square marquee selection and then used the command "Edit>stroke" to make my frame/boarder/box etc. Now when I do that in CS (Windows or my Mac), the corners on my stroke are rounded. I’m sure there’s a setting or preference I’m missing somewhere. Does anyone know?

In the Dialog box for Stoke, set the "Location" option to Inside or Center (Inside works best).

Hope that helps,

Perhaps because Feather is not 0 before making your square marquee selection?

It has always been so; even in PS 6.
